Create Timeslot

Overview

This section describes how to configure timeslots for a particular location.

Create Timeslots

    Navigate to the Create Timeslot page by clicking on Create Timeslot left navigation bar.
    Select the From Date and To Date from the respective calendar fields, and then click SUBMIT .The checkbox for selecting days is enabled based on the selected date range. Users can use the checkbox to select the days for which the configuration is to be applied.
  • From Date - 06/07/2022 (DD/MM/YYYY)
  • To Date - 31/07/2022 (DD/MM/YYYY)
  • Days selected - Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu
  • Pickup Import
  • Pickup Empty
  • Drop Off Export
  • Drop Off Empty
5. User has the option to provide Additional Criteria for each timeslot.
5.1 Enter value for Export, Import, and Empty for Drop Off and Pickup in the marked field(s)
There are three cases. User enters:
a. Non-zero value: The entered value will be applied.
b. zero: 0 value will be applied.
c. blank/empty: 0 value will be applied.
5.2 Select the timeslots for which the above values need to be applied using the checkboxes marked in the image. Click on APPLY button.

5.3 Exclamation icon will be shown to depict peak configuration. A red dot will be shown on the configure icon to depict that a reefer quantity has been set.
6. Click on SUBMIT button.
7. Click on CONFIRM button.
The timeslot configuration is not applied for any day in the date range that has an existing appointment(s).


8. A success message appears on the screen, and the user is navigated to Timeslots page.
In case the user is applying timeslot for long periods like a year, it might take a few minutes to get reflected in the system.

Slot Allocation Based on Container Size and Type

The timeslot Management allows terminal admins to allocate, manage and monitor container slots based on Size(20ft or 40ft) and type (Dry or Reefer). This system ensures efficient scheduling of Pick Up and delivery while maintaining accurate slot availability tracking

Steps

    Log in to the CCS portal using terminal admin privileges.
    Navigate to the Timeslot Management
    Navigate to Create Timeslot page by clicking on the “Create Timeslots” on left nav menu
 4. Input the desired details for each field in Timeslot Criteria. (Default values would be auto populated.)
    Select the desired date range
    Locate the Additional Criteria Icon for each appointment type.
    Click on the icon to open the Additional Details Popup.
    In the popup, set the following parameters as needed:
  • Planned Quantity
  • Set Min Quantity for below (Optional)
    20 Ft Dry
    40 Ft Dry
    20 Ft Reefer
    40 Ft Reefer
    Click Done to save the settings.
10. Define the Main Slot Count (total number of appointments in a specific time period) as existing flow.
    If additional criteria are not set, the system considers the main slot count and configure the same.
    If additional criteria are set, the system doesn’t update the slot duration due to additional criteria quantity limit.
    Errors Outside Popup
Bulk Timeslot Update: If the new planned quantity is lower than the sum of additional criteria, an error message appears:“Some of the slots are not updated due to their additional Criteria Quantity limit.”
Single Slot Update: If the new planned quantity is less than the additional quantity inside the popup, an error appears:“Value cannot be updated due to additional criteria sum limit.”

  • If the sum of additional criteria exceeds the planned quantity, users cannot submit the form.
  • When clicking Done, the following error appears:“The sum of all additional quantity should be less or equal to planned quantity.”
